chocoholic books

A couple months ago while browsing at Barnes & Noble, I delightfully discovered a series called the Chocoholic Mysteries. Chocolate lover that I am, I immediately put a couple of these books on hold at my library, and in a few weeks, I was deliciously devouring these yummy mysteries.

The main character, Lee McKinney, is a business manager for a chocolate shop in a small Michigan resort town. Between giving mouth-watering descriptions of the shop's European-style chocolates, Lee solves murder mysteries. The series is a classic who-dun-it type, but I love that I can't figure out who did it until near the end. That's what makes a good mystery! In addition to the mystery, there's comedy, romance, drama, and just plain fun.

Plus, each book is laced with fun facts and trivia about chocolate! I've read several now (there are ten total), and I've liked every one. They are very light reads, brain candy really, which makes for great bedtime reading. And they put me in the Valentine mood. One warning, though: these books will make you crave chocolate, so I suggest either having some nearby while reading or be prepared to exercise self-control!
