The 4th of July is seriously my favorite holiday! I love all the traditional fun activities, and I also love the chance to reflect on how precious our freedom is. Last year I made a flag cake, which my mister is proudly showing you (the top picture is the cake that inspired me). It was great to take to a family party because the outside looks like just a normal white cake, but when you cut into it, tada! Your own taste of freedom. The liquid coloring will give you brighter colors, which is fun too, just not as dark as a real flag.
