Sometimes when I cook, I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Thoughts like this run through my head: Oh my goodness, this smells divine. Aren't onions the best thing in the world? Um, is that spice really supposed to go in here? Yes, that's what the recipe says... This isn't smelling so good anymore, but it looks good. Wait, now it doesn't look so good. Oh gosh, we're going to have to pull out the cereal. Well, it doesn't look too bad portioned out. I'm excited and a little scared to try this. Maybe the mister will just eat it.
That's about what happened tonight when I made Apple Soup. Yes, I know that sounds gross. But it was actually delicious! And it had fewer than 200 calories, amazingly. I dare you to try it!
P.S. Mine looked nothing like that. Perhaps it's because I didn't have hot Hungarian paprika on hand. Silly me.
P.P.S. Don't use too tart of an apple. Fuji works just great.
